Tour De Lovecraft: The TalesAtomic Overmind Press proudly announces the publication of Kenneth Hite’s Tour de Lovecraft: the Tales. A wide-ranging and friendly journey through H.P. Lovecraft’s tales of cosmic terror and wonder, the Tour de Lovecraft is the ideal companion to the work of the twentieth century’s greatest American horrorist. The book alternately ambles and careens through all fifty-one of the Master’s horror tales in chronological order from “The Tomb” to “The Haunter of the Dark,” offering cheerful opinion, incisive literary criticism, playful speculation, and the occasional unhinged rant.

“Getting to publish Kenneth Hite’s unique take on the works of an horror-literature icon like H.P. Lovecraft is a real treat,” said Atomic Overmind Press' El Jefe Hal Mangold. “His knowledge of the world of H.P. Lovecraft is deep, and his wit is razor sharp. It’s a thoroughly entertaining and informative read.”

“I’m thrilled that Atomic Overmind chose my first foray into literary criticism to be their first release,” said Kenneth Hite. “I’m even more thrilled at how good they made it look, and I hope it’s the first of many from both of us.”

For the company’s first foray into print publishing, Atomic Overmind Press has teamed with noted electronic publisher Ronin Arts. “Kenneth and I have a history of working on projects that dates back to the first Suppressed Transmission collection,” said Ronin Arts president Phil Reed. “When he and Atomic Overmind Press approached me about working on the new book I didn’t even give them a chance to finish talking before I said yes.”

Tour de Lovecraft: The Tales will be available at two locations in the Gen Con Exhibitor’s Hall: at the Cthuliana Corner (Booth #1621), and at Green Ronin Publishing (Booth #1921), who are graciously granting Atomic Overmind Press booth space.

After GenCon, the book will be available by mail order thought Atomic Overmind Press and Warehouse 23, <www.warehouse23.com>, and in PDF form through both Atomic Overmind Press and Ronin Arts. The book will be available in the hobby and comic trade this Autumn, and in bookstores nationwide this Winter. Plans for e-book and audio versions are also in the works.

The entire press release can be found in PR form here.

Ack, I completely missed this at the GR booth the few times I was there. Will need to promptly order this week, then.

Good seeing you again, Hal (albeit horribly briefly and from the other side of the booth).
